Facility Data

SISfm accesses data from the following sources:

• Facility database - a relational database containing the details and classifications of facilities and of personnel.
• Facility maps - SVG and XML files showing building locations on site plans, and room locations on building floor plans.
• Facility images - image files and other associated documents for sites, buildings, floors and rooms.
• Facility personnel - optional LDAP and telephone PBX data access for alternative personnel data.
• Facility documents - links to documents for sites, buildings, floors and rooms.
• Asset data - asset database tables.
• Asset documents/images - asset images and documents.
• Asset Bookings - the bookings database.
• Room Bookings - the bookings database.
• CMIS Timetable database - optional CMIS timetable database accessed by the Room Bookings module.
• CELCAT Timetable database - optional CELCAT timetable database accessed by the Room Bookings module.
• Move Manager - the database used by the Move Manager module.

Facility maps are created from GIS and CAD data using the SISfm Map Compiler utility.

A location code (loc_code) field is stored in the database against each facility and person, and this is used to name corresponding files. The location code is structured according to the LocCodeFormat setting.
